Handel & Haydn

Boston’s Handel & Haydn Society has been performing the music of these two venerable composers since 1815. CSIC takes a page from their book as we perform choral highlights from Handel’s Israel in Egypt, Samson, and Belshazzar, and F.J. Haydn’s Missa Cellensis, a jubilant setting that foreshadows the groundbreaking Masses he composed at the end of his life.
