St. Andrew Presbyterian to Host Outstanding Handbell Choir Festival March 27th AND 28th

From March 27 – 28, St. Andrew Presbyterian Church (140 Gathering Place Lane, Iowa City) will host the Iowa City Handbell Choir Festival, featuring ringers from eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. In the past, we’ve had over 60 ringers participate at each festival and this year we have 78 registered! The clinician is Martha Matthews from Kalamazoo, Michigan. A 34-year veteran of handbells, she most recently served as one of the clinicians at the Worship and Music Conference at Montreat, North Carolina, during the summer of 2025. Her musicality, positive energy, sense of humor, enthusiasm for bells, and care for the ringers was a highlight of the conference. The final concert will be at 3:30 pm on March 28, free and open to the public.
