This year’s Messiah is built as a true community sing—an open invitation for singers across Iowa to come together and take part in one of the most beloved choral works ever written. If you already own a score, bring it along; if not, rental copies will be available when you arrive.

Before the music begins, we’ll gather for a cocktail, coffee hour, and fundraiser event—an easy, welcoming space for our community to reconnect, meet new friends, and settle in together.

The orchestra will be led from a shared podium by Iowa City greats, including Ann Howard Jones, David Haas, David Puderbaugh, and others. No matter your level of experience—whether you’ve sung Messiah for decades or are opening it for the first time—you are welcome!
