Celebrating Stephen Paulus

Today would have been the 69th birthday of Minnesota-based composer Stephen Paulus, who was widely acclaimed, among other things, for his brilliant choral music.

As reviewed by the New York Times, “Mr. Paulus often finds melodic patterns that are fresh and familiar at the same time…His scoring is invariably expert and exceptionally imaginative in textures and use of instruments.”
